Grand Bahama Shipyard Limited was incorporated as a company on January 25, 1999 under the laws of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas.

The goal was to establish a first class ship repair company in the Caribbean capable of servicing the growing the demand for ship repair and maintenance services.

The success of the company since that date has been based on delivering and maintaining services of a high quality and reliability.

Today Grand Bahama Shipyard is one of the biggest ship repair companies in the region with 3 floating docks and all the necessary support services required to perform even the most complicated repair, upgrade and conversion projects. The company is now also  ready to take on fabrication projects, especially for the offshore industry

Company management and organisation
The company is managed by an international management team, in accordance with ISO 9001:2008 guidelines.
For each project, a project manager is appointed as the prime point of contact for the client. He is supported by a project management team and is provided with technical expertise and resources on an as-needed basis by the functional managers.

Quality
The quality policy of Grand Bahama Shipyard is to provide a service equal to or exceeding the quality standard required by the customer for refitting and repair of all classes of maritime vessels. The yard has been accredited to ISO 9001:2008 by Lloyds Register since 2003.
