The facilities and systems available at Grand Bahama Shipyard are ideally suited for conversion and fabrication work for the oil and gas industry and this has become a key element in our service portfolio. Many offshore vessels have paid a visit to the shipyard for repairs and conversions and we expect to expand further in this sector in future. The deepwater in the sheltered port of Freeport provides an ideal location for many deep draft units to enter and have work undertaken outside of the United States and its territories. All types of drilling and construction units are welcome in the yard for repair, upgrade and conversion work. The yard is also able to facilitate larger conversion or completion projects, such as FPSO integration or rig upgrade programs prior to re-deployment.
